I have recently retired from education after nearly 40 years. I have enjoyed my career throughout and love helping young people to achieve success. My aim is to to use my skills and experience to help students on a one to one or small group basis.
I have nearly 40 years experience teaching secondary mathematics at all levels, year 7 to 13. More recently I have worked at an FE college focussing on mathematics at A level. I have experience of the UCAS process and have helped many students progress to university. I have been an examiner for AQA for over 20 years.
I enjoy working one-to-one with students at all levels, from those struggling with A Level material to Oxbridge candidates.
Using all my past experiences I prepare students for the A level maths exam, tailoring sessions to the individual student. I am aware of the many difficulties that students experience and the common errors that are made and with extra help additional marks can be gained in the exam.
I prefer face to face teaching but have also experienced online and would consider it.
