I worked within large organisations for many years, from international banks in London to establishing my own retail business. I have gained vast experience within the business arena which allows me to really understand how academia sits within a commercial environment. My experiences also allows me to form real-life discussions when assessing academic questions and assignments.
I recently took 4 years off of work to return to full-time study, gaining my Ba(Hons) in Business Management and my MSc in Entrepreneurial Management.
This fantastic opportunity has allowed me to view businesses through an entrepreneurial lens and really understand how academic theory can actually work within a commercial environment.
Whilst at university I enrolled as a student mentor which fired my passion to continue tutoring regarding all aspects of business after completing my MSc.
I now tutor college students online and I also use my academic experiences to assist new and existing business to start and grow.
I firmly believe that to really gain an excellent understanding of a subject a student must enjoy the teaching and research experience and look at the subject from a number of different dimensions. I believe that my experience of working within large and small companies, along with my understanding of the academic environment, gives me an awareness as to what the student requires and allows me to develop an individual plan for each student.
