Warwickshire born, bred, and educated but resident in London for 20 years.
Recently moved to Brighton.
I'm well-read, well-published (with various books and magazine articles to my name), and well-travelled (40 countries in six continents).
When I'm not at home reading, I'm keen on watching cricket (member of Surrey County Cricket Club and Marylebone Cricket Club) and cycling (personal best in the annual Swains Lane hill race 2:40).
Since 2022, I have achieved over 800 hours of in-person professional mentoring and tutoring with student interns from the University of Pittsburgh via CAPA.
Additionally, I did over 400 hours of online work with students during 2020-2021.
I have got the best out of students by giving clear guidance and maintaining plenty of communication – "any problems, just ask".
When I teach literature, I encourage students to “read with their ears” and read the texts aloud to make the words come to life.
So we might well be acting together in a Shakespeare play...
