I am a friendly, conscientious and enthusiastic person, and I am excited to support students in their learning. I am currently in my final year of Medicine at King's College London; I value the interconnection of communication, collaboration and lifelong learning that a medical career entails and I use these skills in my teaching. Achieving all grades at A/A* in my GCSEs and A-Levels, I continue to use and develop strong exam and revision skills as a medical student. I have delivered teaching sessions to medical students and school students. Successful at securing offers at several top medical schools, I have a strong understanding of characteristics important to medical schools and I can also assist in preparing students for the medical school selection process.
I have tutored school students throughout school years, including GCSE, KS3 and University Preparation. Additionally, I am a lead facilitator for medical student revision sessions. I have delivered teaching sessions for a wide range of ages and abilities, I aim to tailor lessons to ensure students are supported with all areas of the curriculum.
Here are some wonderful words from my previous tutees:
"My Son finds Sumudi’s teaching style faultless and impactful. His knowledge in his science subjects has improved tremendously and this is thanks to MS (Sumudi) as my son calls her. I will not hesitate to recommend your services to others Welldone and many thanks." Parent (GCSE Student)
"Amazingly structured lessons. Ensures you attempt the question first then gives a detailed explanation if you do get it wrong. Also very supportive and gives amazing advice to approach questions." A-Level Student
"Great Tutor, Very helpful and cooperative and explains everything very well." GCSE Student
I aim to work collaboratively with my students in order to develop tailored lessons; placing focus on perfecting exam technique and formulating revision strategies which adapt to individual learning styles. Through the use of diagrams and exam questions, we will discuss and practise the application of key ideas. I utilise a student-centred approach, allowing my students to direct their own goals and I encourage students to ask questions to clarify areas which they struggle with.
