Sue is a really good tutor and easy to engage with. Her sessions are relaxed but well planned and based around my interests. After several months of "self teaching" I appreciate the structure and the challenge. I'm enjoying being back in learning mode!

Susan is very knowledgeable and friendly, and has a good balance of having a pre-prepared structured lesson and also answering any extra questions you have. I'm pretty happy with what I have learnt in my time with her as my tutor.

I am loving my weekly sessions with Sue. She has tailored the learning to suit my needs and i am already feeling more confident with my French. The sessions pass very quickly and are always interesting. I have also enjoyed the extra work to look at in between sessions. I only wish i had found Sue before now!

Sue is an enthusiastic and patient teacher. Very clear, flexible and well organised. Her lessons are fun and creative.

We managed to have our first lesson face to face before the “lockdown”. Sue is very friendly and easy to get along with. Since then we have been having lessons via various “tech” means. It’s worked really well and I feel my learning hasn’t missed out due to the complexities. Sue is very encouraging and I don’t feel under any pressure to be at a particular level at a particular time.

My daughter has been having French lessons with Susan for a few weeks now for her GCSE exams. She is really enjoying her lessons and finds Susan very helpful, patient and informative.

Sent Sue a message via FirstTutors and she responded the same day to say that she could help my 9 year old son with his English.
He has been to her 3 times so far and has enjoyed his time with her, she has a very warm and friendly demeanor and so far we have been very pleased with our sons progress.

I’m studying A-Level French and was struggling with speaking and listening. Now I am having lessons with Susan I feel my confidence is growing because not only is she patient and full of methods/ideas for teaching but she offers something more and different from what I gain in sixth form lessons. She gives work sheets, help sheets and a variety of useful sources to make use of in my own time. I really enjoy the lessons and would recommend to anyone who needs extra help.

My son has now attended around 5 lessons with Sue after struggling badly with GCSE French. He came out of the first lesson actually smiling as he said that at last someone was listening to him, helping him and focused on addressing his needs. The immediate difference Sue made was enormous from that feeling alone. Since then Sue has been helping him prepare for an oral exam, providing support and guiding him through with the help of material and website activities to do between lessons. She was able to get him to engage from the start and he is already feeling more confident in his abilities and gave him hope that he could improve over time and achieve better results. Sue is very approachable and flexible, adapting lessons to suit what my daughter is currently studying at school. My daughter's confidence has increased already and, the proof of the pudding, she has performed better than previously in a recent exam achieving an 'A' grade.

Sue has been tutoring my daughter in Italian, GCSE level, for a number of weeks. Her teaching skills, dedication and reliability have been very helpful in raising my daughter's understanding and ability to speak Italian. Sue has been great at helping my son catch up after missing a substantial amount of his GCSE course due to ill-health.
