I am an experienced teacher seeking part-time tutoring work. I enjoy teaching students 1:1 which allows for a focussed approach on an individual students learning. I am professional, well organized and reliable. I have excellent communication skills and I can develop effective relationships with young learners their parents and adult learners. I have an up to date DBS certificate which I'm happy to show to students / parents.
I am also offering supervised practice sessions for children learning the violin, up to Grade 2; so if your child is learning the violin and would benefit from additional practice sessions, please contact me!

I have over twenty years teaching experience in schools and other institutions both in the UK and overseas. I have also tutored students 1:1 in numeracy and English [primary] and English [secondary]. I have taught both primary and secondary and English as a Foreign Language to adults and young learners. I also specialise in teaching students who may be experiencing difficulties with learning.
I aim to instil a love of learning so students are confident and proactive learners. I plan engaging and interactive lessons, focussing on areas of need. Initially, I assess a students strengths and needs and then plan and deliver personalised lessons. I have a well-stocked resource bank with lots of teaching materials for literacy, numeracy, secondary English and EFL / ESOL.
