I am passionate about providing a positive and engaging learning experience where children can thrive and reach their full potential. My commitment to tailoring support to meet individual needs allows me to encourage and motivate each child effectively. I strive to create a fun and stimulating environment where learning becomes an enjoyable journey, igniting a love for education in my students. As a mother to an 8-year-old, I bring valuable insights into child development and the importance of nurturing a supportive atmosphere.
With over ten years of experience in primary education, including my current role as Year 6 teacher and English Lead in a large Junior School, My passion lies in developing children’s reading and spelling skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the expectations of Key Stage 2. I take pride in creating inclusive learning environments and have successfully supported children with a variety of needs, including ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, PDA, autism, poor working memory, and EAL.
I am flexibly in my approach to tutoring and will alongside parent and child to best accommodate a student's needs. My time can be used to complete homework tasks, support Year 6 SATS preparation, revise content that has been previously taught in school in order to fill any gaps in knowledge, or develop practical skills that can be applied across the whole curriculum.
