Hi, I'm Suzanne and I've been teaching for 19 years in Primary Schools. Outside of work, I love crafting and being creative. I also enjoy going to musicals and travelling to new places.
Being a primary school teacher I have had plenty of teaching experience. I have taught most year groups covering ages six to eleven. Most of my experience has been in Years 5 and 6. My years spent in Year 6 mean I am very skilled at helping pupils prepare for SATs exams and I use a range of approaches to achieve this.
Currently I am a Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator as well as Maths Lead. I absolutely love teaching Maths and find it one of the most rewarding subjects to teach.
I understand the importance of teaching in flexible, lively and interactive ways. I can tailor my lessons to suit individual needs and will prepare sessions based on these. I will constantly assess progress and adapt next steps as needed. Homework can be provided if wanted. I like children to understand the steps they need to take to reach a target, and to take part in their own learning.
Tutoring can be on a regular basis (for example weekly) or I also offer short term boosters (for example in preparation for SATs). Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
