I am currently an IT professional and have been for 19 years. I tutor several kids and have been doing so for several years now.

My speciality is Computing at all levels of software development from requirements gathering to development. I am familiar with the National 5 syllabus and can teach uni students in IT also.

In English I have been teaching grammar, sentence building, essay writing from primary to secondary and Maths for kids at primary school. I am very helpful and will assist the child online also.

I have worked enthusiastically with kids for the past 20 years and have tutored them throughout their school life in various subjects.

My aspiration is to make kids confident and able in these subjects especially where they lack the confidence and ability to do well.

Any child who is taught well will do well and the foundation is school hence it is of the essence that they master these subjects in school to do well in their years thereafter. I would be willing to teach the kids any evening and I am available at weekends also my time will revolve around the parents and kids time.

Tutoring Experience

I have a lot of experience teaching kids in primary school whether it’s Maths or English. I am also familiar with the National 5 syllabus and have taught kids in computing, maths and English. I am currently teaching kids and adults at university in excel, sql, maths and English.

Tutoring Approach

The approach I take depends on the individuals needs. Some kids I have to spend more time teaching the basics other kids I try and graphically illustrate things or play games with them to understand and build their confidence. I am currently teaching some IT students at university who managed to do very well in their assignments by going over Excel charts, formulas, calculations etc. I am also teaching a particular student how to make use of the web by creating an e- portfolio for her university assignments.
