Tamires

I have a bachelor degree and a postgraduate diploma in Psychology. I consider myself as a very organised, careful, patient and affectionate person. I am currently working as a teaching assistant for a secondary school and I have always had a passion for the educational field. I would like to provide pupils a qualified learning process.

Tutoring Experience

In my current role, I have been delivering English and Numeracy interventions to secondary students, but I also have primary experience. I work for Clube dos Brasileirinhos on Saturdays, where I teach Portuguese as an inheritance language.
Adding to that, I have experience in psychological and educational assessment to children who have learning disabilities.

Tutoring Approach

My aim as a tutor is to boost self-confidence and to create in my students a deep understanding and an environment that they can feel free to ask and to be listened. I do believe that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves.
