Hi! I'm Tanvi, a passionate, friendly and patient tutor currently studying Biomedical Sciences at City St George's University Of London. I specialise in Biology tutoring at all levels from primary school till A levels and also excel in teaching Maths and English. As someone having gone through the UCAS application process recently, I have knowledge and expertise to help students navigate the stressful period of university applications as well.

Tutoring Experience

I have 2 years of tutoring experience teaching students of all ages (from 5-18). Due to teaching students of all different ages, I pride myself on my ability to change my teaching style to cater to the students.

Tutoring Approach

I strive to create an open, judgement free space within my tutoring sessions where the students can approach me with any questions they have with no hesitation. As someone who personally uses many different study methods and techniques, I truly understand that everyone learns and processes information differently. Therefore, I believe that it is my role as the tutor to create my tutoring sessions in such a way that the student achieves their maximum potential.

My core teaching style involves:
- First building a strong foundation by perfecting the basics.
- Regular mini quizzes/tests to practice active recall of previously learnt topics.
- Providing constructive feedback on tests and working alongside school syllabus.
- Using exam board specification and mark schemes to provide specific teaching to excel in exams.
- Teaching exam technique such as: time management, high yield topics in exams, writing techniques
-Conducting mock exams to check progress.

I also provide students with revision resources, notes and exam style questions.
