Ted

Hello! I am a recent graduate from Oxford University who is passionate about Classics and excited to share my skills with others. I enjoy teaching, and have found that both my peers and those younger than me have often sought me out for help with both Latin and Greek. I'm told that I'm both engaging and fun in the way that I approach teaching! I'm looking to tutor as a means of financing my upcoming Master's in Latin and Greek Languages and Literature at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.

Tutoring Experience

While studying, I volunteered at a local primary school for two years, where I worked both with a larger group of students and on an individual basis, helping specific students with English grammar, vocab and spelling. I've also helped lots of friends who have struggled over the past few years!

Tutoring Approach

I seek to be thorough, but also fun and engaging. It's as important to give confidence to students as it is to impart knowledge, and so, more than drilling with facts, I try to show students the patterns and logic behind the language, so as to make learning easier and to equip them a with a firm foundation for tackling Latin and Greek by themselves.
