Bath’s most highly regarded private tutor, trusted by hundreds of families.
With over ten years of teaching experience (including as a former Head of Department at a distinguished independent school), I’ve helped hundreds of students grow in confidence and achieve academic success. I believe confidence is the foundation for progress. My sessions are calm, structured and always tailored to the individual.
I specialise in breaking down complex ideas clearly and building exam skills step by step. My supportive but no-nonsense approach helps students overcome self-doubt, stay motivated and take control of their learning leading to real, lasting improvements in both performance and mindset.
I studied at Imperial College London, where I was awarded an MSc in Science Communication with Distinction. I also hold a BSc in Molecular Biology with high honours, also from Imperial.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with students at every stage, from 11+ entrance exams and GCSEs to A-levels and undergraduate coursework. That breadth of experience has taught me that great tutoring is never just about memorising facts; it’s about building confidence and giving students the tools to face exams with clarity and self-belief.
I previously served as Head of Department at a highly respected private tutorial college in Bath, where I helped lead a team delivering tailored, results-focused support. That role deepened my commitment to high standards, personalised teaching and helping every student reach their full academic potential.
I was lucky to have a few brilliant tutors growing up; their support transformed the way I saw learning and turned exams from something to fear into a challenge I could prepare for and overcome. That mindset shift changed everything for me and it’s something I now work to pass on to every student I teach.
A strong tutor-student rapport is essential. I know that real progress only happens when a student feels comfortable, heard and supported. That’s why I bring a calm, approachable and patient attitude to each session. Some students just need the right environment and a bit of belief to unlock their potential. I’m fully committed to helping them do exactly that.
