I am currently studying Pharmacy at Aston University, Birmingham and three years into my course I am on target for a First Class honours. I have achieved an A* in Mathematics, A in Chemistry at A-level. Having received guidance from older peers, I am a strong advocate of learning from older students, pass on knowledge and achieve the best results possible.
I have experience tutoring all ages, from 8 year old family friends to A level students. I currently teach students at both GCSE level and A level, mostly those undertaking OCR and Edexcel examinations. Whilst I have experience in teaching small groups of students, 1-on-1 tutoring always produces the best exam results, and my students are all on course to achieving A/A* grades. During my gap year from university, I spent the time travelling through India teaching English and Maths to 11-16 year olds.
From my experiences of travelling through India my approach to tutoring is one that is tailored for each student, as everyone has their own style of learning that works best for them. I teach according to the exam syllabus, so that all content is covered, constantly testing the tutee throughout the lessons. Covering all the past papers and practicing both multiple choice and short answer questions is key, and by working through questions, I teach exam technique along the way, to ensure that my students are fully prepared for their external examinations.
