I have been a maths teacher for 25+ years in and around the Hull area, and have tutored for over 20 years. I qualified as an Advanced Skills Teacher over 15 years ago. I am happy to tutor GCSE/IGCSE maths & further maths and A level (Core) in addition to maths elements of degree/post grad courses. I have also successfully tutored many trainee teachers for their numeracy skills test.

Tutoring Experience

I have experience of teaching and tutoring covering the full range of mathematical abilities from Year 7s struggling with the transition from primary to secondary, through to all levels at GCSE, A level, up to undergraduate and post graduate students. I have assisted many trainee teachers in successfully completing the numeracy element of the QTS skills test. I have also assisted students with maths entry exams for nursing, as well as actuarial trainees.

Tutoring Approach

Cancelled lessons;
I request 24 hours notice to cancel any booked lessons. Within a 3 month period, I allow a short notice cancellation without charge, however subsequent cancelled lessons without 24 hours notice will incur a charge of £20.
