Growing up, I struggled with my own studies, through primary and secondary school but that all changed when my moother got me a tutor to help me with my studies. Despite the discouraging comments I recieved from some teachers, I am now a doctoratal student with a bacherlor's degree in Classical Studies and a Masters in Ancient History.
I have had the pleasure of being a teaching assistant at James Allen Prep school where I coordinated with teachers and assisted in history and English lessons, engaging students to participate in class discussions and activities, such as creating a historical timeline through dark ages to the second world war and delivered comprehensive one on one academic support and have been part of the teaching team in various church-based institutes where I taught religious studies.
I believe learning should be made accessible to all and learning styles help develop skills that allow students to gain a firm grasp on the core skills required to satisfy examination boards and teacher set assignments. With this in mind, my focus is on finding appealing ways to learn effectively to encourage independent study that leads to a higher understanding of the subjects at large.
