I’m a hugely experienced, inspirational English teacher working at a top independent school in London.
As a tutor I have an outstanding track record, whether it is for students who are lacking confidence or in refining specific skills. I currently have a few vacancies for 11 plus, GCSE and A Level. I also offer intensive holiday crash courses to improve creative writing, exam and essay skills.
I have 17 years experience teaching secondary English at the highest level with consistently superb results. I've worked both in the state and private sector. I have tutored for a number of years, mainly through word-of-mouth, and had real success with students of all ages from 7+ students to Oxbridge applicants.
My passion for the transformative possibilities of English is grounded in excellent subject knowledge. I really love teaching English, and this always leads me to make strong connections with my students based on where they are at and their targets.
My approach is also informed by strategies that draw on educational research, my Masters in Shakespeare and education, but most of all from 1000s of hours in the classroom. At every school I've worked in, I have been recognised as an inspirational classroom practitioner.
