Thomas is a very gentle man, great teacher and he was very open to suggestions and particular needs of our son. He is now preparing for his Nat 5 maths and progressing very well. We would recommend him as a tutor to anyone.

At a time when my son was struggling with Maths and Physics, Tom was a great help particularly focusing on the physics. He not only has a wealth of knowledge, but is hugely passionate about the subjects. Covid-19 disrupted our relationship but we hope to pick this back up again next term.

His son is undertaking SQA National qualifications and this years exam diet was interrupted by the Covid pandemic. I do expect him to get a pass however and look forward to working with him in his highers.

Mr was punctual and well prepared for each lesson. We were given pass papers and answers through email which was helpful and links to other websites for help. Mr was friendly and caring, connecting with my son at his level (16) and bringing him on considerably in his learning within a very short space of time. The help Mr provided was invaluable and he often spent a little longer if he had the time which really showed an above average service. He was available if my son had any questions through email and genuinely cared about how my son would perform in the exam. I am glad I contacted First Tutors and with two other children pre exam age, I may be in touch again in the future.

The student, hardworking and quite bright, got lost somewhere before the main examination in SQA maths. Solution was sample papers and careful explanation of questions- got there in the end - a team effort.
