I attended Loughborough University where I studied History. My PGCE was completed at Exeter University. I have been asked to tutor a number of sixth form students in both history and politics. I received a national award for the A level grades achieved by my students. I have four grown up step children, one of which I taught.
I am a very experienced head of history and politics teacher in the independent sector. I have been in the teaching profession for 34 years and during that time my students have achieved great success at GCSE and A level. I have also been an A level examiner.
In history there are a limited number of questions the examiners can ask. I prepare my students for all possible questions. Technique is vital in achieving success and I ensure these techniques and skills are adopted by my students. I am happy to employ Zoom, Teams and FaceTime if required. I am also able to assist with coursework. In addition to subject support I am also happy to offer a programme that enables anyone who is not at school or college to undertake and pass a full A level course in only one academic year or less.
