I have given private tuition since 2014, with excellent results, and many of my pupils come to me by recommendation. I always have the highest expectations of pupils. I specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature, preparing pupils for grammar school entrance exams and SATs. I am passionate about teaching and so ensure that learning takes place in a relaxed but studious situation. I have the fully enhanced DBS certificate and subscribe to the government updating service.

Tutoring Experience

I have more than twenty years of teaching experience, ranging from KS2 to adult, teaching at Hopwood Hall College, GCSE English, basic skills and maths on a full-time basis for many years.

Tutoring Approach

I use targeted revision and exam techniques. Providing my own resources, past papers and all necessary texts. All my lessons are tailored for the specific student, who will also receive homework, which will be completed before the next lesson.
