Hello! My name is Vera, and I am currently a third-year uni student studying Neuroscience at University College London (UCL). I completed my GCSEs at St. Swithun's School and my A-levels/Pre-U at Westminster School. These institutions have provided me with a solid foundation for teaching and a passion for learning that I am eager to share with my students.
Subjects Offered:
Biology (up to GCSE level)
Maths (up to GCSE level)
Chinese (up to A-level)
Throughout my academic career, I have sought opportunities to give back to the community and gain practical experience. I have volunteered at various charities, nurseries, and elder homes, where I have developed strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to interacting with people of all ages. These experiences have also developed my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
My teaching philosophy is centered around creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. I believe that every student has the potential to excel with the right guidance and encouragement. It is important for the students to understand the underlying questions and concepts, rather than just learning how to answer them. This will encourage the students to develop a deeper comprehension and help them become better prepared for various challenges in the future.
I can tailor my lessons/teaching method to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student. I encourage students to ask questions and express their thoughts, helping them build their confidence and academic curiosity. I will also provide regular feedback to the student to assess their academic progress.
