I am a friendly, easy going, kind, maths teacher with a 14 year old son. I explain maths concepts in an easy to understand way which boosts the learners confidence.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in an FE college for 8 years, teaching GCSE resit maths at foundation level. I have a PGCE in numeracy. I specialise in ensuring learners achieve their grade 4/5 pass. I have expertise at teaching foundation level learners, who require some additional support to push them on. I am not only a maths teacher, but head of department with an extremely good pass rate. I build a rapport with my students so they feel comfortable and able to learn. I am able to make learners feel confident, and fill in the gaps in their knowledge so they can achieve their desirable grade.

Tutoring Approach

I like to make the learner feel comfortable. I understand many learners maths anxiety, and I try to boost their confidence. I explain concepts in an easy to understand way, with simple steps so they can get to grips with each topic and then build on strong foundations.
