I am Head of Politics at a leasing independent boarding school in Surrey and also teach History. I currently teach the Edexcel politics specification and specialise in Global Politics for Component Three. I have a PhD in Politics and my first degree was in History and Politics. I am friendly and approachable. I really enjoy making a difference for my students. I find that with a little one on one tuition, that pupils confidence grows enormously and that this is often the difference. I have a thorough knowledge of the requirements of the exam and can guide pupils to success.

Tutoring Experience

I have 3 years experience teaching Politics and International Relations at University. During this time I was also responsible for teaching Study Skills to students. I have 8 years experience teaching History and Government and Politics at an independent school.

Tutoring Approach

I discuss with each student their individual needs and help them to improve on whatever aspect of their course they find difficult. I prefer to take each student on the basis of their own strengths and weaknesses.
