Hello and welcome to my profile! I am originally from Hungary, but I have partly grown up in Germany, went to an Austrian high school and university, so German is my main academic language. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Vienna, in law and anthropology. My family has been that of teachers, and I learned how to teach languages from my mother, who allowed me to participate in her classroom as early as when I was six years old. I love languages, for they open up the world, and allow us to meet new people. In addition to tutoring, I hold a postgraduate diploma in clinical hypnosis, which allows me to teach memory techniques and other self-improvement techniques, such as public speaking and the management of exam stress.

Tutoring Experience

I have years of teaching experience, and currently tutor quite a number of people in German and Hungarian: different age groups (from 10 years to adult) and different levels (from absolute beginner to university level). All my students make steady progress and I enjoy teaching them all. Because of my academic background I can be of particular help to you, if you need tuition in business and/or legal language.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor each class to the individual student, for example: I will be more grammar-oriented with a university student, but absolutely playful and activity-oriented with children. I believe learning languages should be a fun experience, however, I am quite goal-driven in my personality, so I like to ensure that classes bring results. I use some memory techniques, to learn things like vocabulary and I also pay attention that students can use their time between classes well, with homework and a healthy dose of revision.
