I am a fully qualified secondary school maths teacher (PGCE/QTS) and a highly experienced maths tutor. I have a 1st Class Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from King's College and PGCE in Mathematics from the Institute of Education (UCL). I have an enhanced DBS and safeguarding certificate.
My online sessions are individually tailored and carefully planned according to a student's ability. I have over fifteen years of experience in teaching KS3 and GCSE level mathematics.
I am extremely passionate about my teaching and I believe that every student has the potential to do well in mathematics if they are taught according to their individual needs.
All of my tutees have progressed to a higher set in their year group and significantly improved their exam results and grades. References are available upon request.
After a thirteen year-long career in IT in the City (Nokia and Accenture), as a senior software engineer/technical project manager, I completed PGCE in secondary school mathematics. I taught mathematics in a number of London secondary schools, including Nower Hill, Rooks Heath and Ruislip High School.
My lessons are tailor-made to a student's level of understanding and their ability. Students are encouraged to ask questions and to explore. Mathematics is one of the most interesting and fun subjects if it is taught well. It is a great feeling when my students understand and do well in topics that they struggled with previously.
