I am a junior doctor currently working at Colchester Hospital with a strong passion for teaching and mentoring young learners. Originally from Canada, I completed my medical degree at the University of Dundee and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences from McMaster University.
I enjoy helping children build confidence in core subjects like English, Math, and Science by breaking down complex concepts into simple, engaging, and easy-to-understand steps. I tailor each session to suit the individual learning style and pace of the student, creating a supportive and encouraging environment. Whether your child needs extra help to catch up or wants to excel further, my goal is to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
I have over 5 years of experience working with children and young people in both academic and mentoring roles. I have previously tutored primary and secondary school students in English, and Science, helping them improve their academic performance and study skills.
As a junior doctor, I continue to teach medical students which has strengthened my ability to explain difficult concepts clearly and patiently.
My teaching approach is student-centred and adaptable, with a focus on building confidence, developing problem-solving skills, and making lessons interactive and enjoyable. I’m particularly passionate about helping students believe in their abilities and reach their full potential.
