A graduate from the University of Nottingham with an MEng and currently working as a Product Design Engineer. While studying at St. Olave's Grammar School, I achieved an A* in GCSE Mathematics, A in Additional Mathematics and an A* in A-Level Mathematics. Since I am young my knowledge of A levels is fresh and I can easily relate to your situation, giving advice that older tutors cannot.
While in London I worked as a private tutor. Previous students include:
a GCSE student the achieved an A* after being predicted a B.
a year 7 student from, raising her from a level 5b to level 6
Keep things simple and plain, breaking down the most complex topics into their basic components. I believe this is key to understanding mathematics. Not every student is the same so I I make sure my students understand what they are being taught rather than just blindly following - this allows students to apply their knowledge to many different situations.
