Hi! I'm currently in my 5th year of studying Medicine at the University of Oxford having graduated last year with a BA in Medical Sciences. I have an avid interest in my subject and love the university structure that provides extensive content whilst allowing me to question the concepts and further my understanding. I thoroughly enjoy both the learning and teaching process. I believe it's critically important that questions are encouraged to stimulate an active learning process; this is something I try to cultivate in my tutoring sessions. I hope to provide valuable assistance to my students and allow them to develop their understanding in a dynamic learning environment at their own pace.
I have over 800 hours online tutoring experience from primary school through to A level, for a range of abilities.
I have experience of tutoring at both GCSE and A level to a range of abilities. I usually find it most helpful initially if the student has some subject/topic specific questions that we can discuss and work through. We can then develop a plan and time frame to ensure that goals are met and particularly problematic areas are adequately covered. I will usually use relevant past paper questions to direct the session; I can then divulge into further detail of a subject if it is clear that it has not been clearly understood. I also encourage active student feedback so that my teaching style can be tailored to how the student feels they work best.
