Hello, my name is Will and I am currently taking a year out before going to Exeter University next September to study Geography. I am in the process of saving some money for a trip to South America!
My hobbies include team sports especially football and rugby. I also enjoy playing tennis and golf. Outside of sports I like watching and documenting films and since leaving school I have got into cooking meals from scratch making everything from Asian foods to a traditional roast dinner.
Nexus School is a special school for children and young people on the autistic spectrum. I volunteered here for the school year between September 2019 and March 2020.
Between October-November 2022 I volunteered in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Bali on various projects. These included working in a special needs school, teaching English to teenagers.
I must add that with regards to History I would need to know the time periods in advance to lessons and with Religious Studies that I specialise in Christianity.
My teaching approach will be focused on interaction with and empowerment of the pupil. Discussion and debate is also central to truly understanding a subject and developing skills in communication.
I am also happy to provide advice to anyone struggling getting to grips with UCAS and university applications. I would also be happy to talk about anything to do with boarding schools in England.
