I'm an Economics graduate from the London School of Economics (LSE) with a decade of business experience before I moved my career into teaching. My background gives me a practical perspective on economics, which I love to share with my students, helping them see how theory applies in the real world.
I’ve been teaching economics for over 20 years, both in schools and as a private tutor, across Asia and the UK. I’ve taught a wide range of curricula, including IB, CIE, AQA, AP, Canadian Pre-U, OCR, and UK University Foundation Courses. Alongside teaching, I’ve also worked as an examiner for IB, OCR, and AQA, which has given me a solid understanding of what it takes to achieve top marks. I’ve had the pleasure of working with students from the UK, China, and Southeast Asia, helping them to achieve strong results. My students have gone on to study at top Universities including Oxford and Cambridge in UK and also in the US and Asia.
My teaching style is all about making connections—linking ideas together, honing exam techniques, and ensuring students answer questions with precision. I use real-world examples from my business experience to bring economics to life and make it relevant. I believe in building a good rapport with my students, using humor and a relaxed approach to create a comfortable learning environment where they can thrive.
