Yasmine

Hi I'm Yasmine! Currently I'm a student at the University of Oxford studying Mathematics. Having completed my A Levels in 2020 and my GCSEs in 2018 I have a very up to date knowledge of new A Level system and the 9-1 GCSEs. I know all about how the exams work and the best tips and tricks to get you through them with the best grades possible!

I specialise in Mathematics (and Further Maths) but am also happy to tutor in Physics, Chemistry and Computer Science, as well as the MAT if you are considering applying to Maths or Computer Science at Oxford. Please don't hesitate to drop me an email if you have any questions.

Tutoring Experience

I have over a year of tutoring experience. Formally, I worked as a senior tutor for a year at a tuition centre, tutoring students from ages 6-22 in Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. I have also worked tutoring friends and relatives in a variety of subjects, as well as volunteering at my schools science club and maths club.

Doing all this has allowed me to gain strong communication skills and become an expert at explaining tricky maths and science concepts to people of all abilities in a way that is intuitive and memorable.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that every student is capable of achieving high grades if they are willing to put the work in and I like to focus on both the content of the course as well as a deeper understanding of the subject.

I also focus on exam questions as a way of consolidating knowledge and perfecting exam techniques as this is often as important as the content itself.

I am friendly and patient with my pupils and always listen to their feedback and am constantly seeking to improve my teaching methods.
