I am currently the Head of Mathematics of the most successful department in East Sussex. I am an experienced Maths teacher who finds teaching exciting, enjoyable and rewarding. My teaching encompasses ages 11 to 19 and the full ability range. I use a range of teaching styles to ensure my pupils make outstanding improvement in relation to prior and expected attainment. I am a friendly, enthusiastic and approachable tutor who is passionate about education and ensuring that pupils make outstanding progress.
Tutoring Experience
I have worked in three different secondary schools as a teacher of Mathematics. In all three schools, I have successfully taught intervention groups, classes which targets underachieving pupils in order to motivate and inspire them.
Tutoring Approach
It depends on the child; their age, strengths, needs and learning style. After the first session I will have a good understanding of the student’s strengths, weakness and learning styles. Therefore, I can tailor the proceeding lessons to meet the student’s needs.
