Hi, I’m Koo—a passionate maths student currently pursuing an integrated Master’s degree in Mathematics at Durham University. I achieved 4 A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A level. I’m enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge, and I aim to support others in building confidence and improving their problem-solving skills.

Tutoring Experience

Over the past three years of my degree, I’ve worked with local A-level students, helping them better understand key concepts and develop effective problem-solving techniques. With plenty of experience in the A-level curriculum—particularly in Maths and Further Maths—I’m familiar with how to approach challenging topics and what it takes to achieve top grades.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that consistent practice is key to improving in maths. In a typical lesson, we’ll review the topics you’d like to focus on and then work through practice and past paper questions together. From my experience, A-level exams often feature recurring techniques and problem types, so I aim to highlight the most efficient methods and help you build strong time management skills to reduce exam stress.

That said, I understand that everyone learns differently, so I’m always happy to tailor my lessons to suit your needs. I do ask that you let me know what you’d like to cover in advance so I can prepare a focused plan and make the most of our time together.
