PhD graduate in social sciences after taking a shift from my philosophically-oriented masters. Achieved a first class honours in my undergraduate degree and a distinction in my masters. I'm very easy to work with and communicate efficiently.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as an academic support worker for students in higher education for over 10 years. This has included students with dyslexia and other learning difficulties. My roles have included 1-2-1 study support and mentoring. On multiple occasions I have worked with students from their first year and assisted them in achieving a minimum of 2.1 degree result. I have tutored a very wide variety of subjects from nursing to history of art, but am particularly familiar with the social sciences and humanities. In addition, I have volunteered to work abroad on multiple occasions to teach children of various backgrounds and economic status.

Tutoring Approach

Relaxed but precise. I like to get a feel of what issues you might have and seek to address that.

I realise students can be from all over so I’m happy to Skype with students also - it’s just as effective.
