I am a patient, understanding, and approachable individual who enjoys connecting with people across different contexts. I thrive on working with those who have differing needs, and I can adapt well to best support theses individuals. I feel it is important to help people, and to offer support and guidance where I can. I have a passion for learning, and my main focus throughout my teaching is promoting a love of reading.

From my own personal experience as well as through my teacher training I know that everyone learns in different ways; education is not one size fits all. Tutoring should be a student centred approach where their needs are paramount and my tutoring is adapted around these. The first session we would have together is about getting to know where there are strengths and areas for development across the topic the student is studying. We will also discuss how the student learns best, and therefore how I can adapt my tutoring to best support their needs. As the sessions progress I will use this information to evaluate where I can see strengths/areas for development and how I can best support them to achieve their full potential. A parent/carer being present for the initial meeting would be beneficial for all parties.
In terms of exams, I have experience with AQA and WJEC. I can help students to develop exam skills, support with practice papers, help them understand the mark scheme, and share exemplar.
I am highly experience with students who have SEND and can accommodate these easily.
I can support you with secondary English, GCSE, A Level, University, or Adult Education.
