Personal Description:
I am a freelance clarinettist and teacher, currently based in South West London. I graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2023, having previously studied music at the University of Birmingham. I perform regularly with orchestras in North West England and in London and also have experience performing as a soloist, in chamber groups, and pit orchestras for musicals.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught a range of abilities, from beginner to advanced, including undergraduates at RNCM. I have taught woodwind instruments at schools and music hubs for several years, and have experience in preparing students for exams, both privately and at these institutions. My teaching experience includes working with children and adults in both one-to-one and group settings.
Tutoring Approach:
I adapt my approach to the interests and needs of each student. As well as increasing the student's proficiency on the instrument, I aim to develop their general musical skills including ensemble playing, improvisation, and critical listening through a variety of exercises.
