Maths and Computer Studies / I.T. Lessons in Lambeth

Data scientist/statistician with maths Ph.D. (LSE) and over 15 years teaching experience in maths, statistics, machine learning, and programming. Patient and clear.

Tutoring Experience

  • Over 15 years of teaching experience (mostly one-to-one tutoring)
    • Have completed 3 short teacher training courses
    • Taught at Cambridge University, LSE, and Kings College London
    • Taught children for 1 year at a school in Southwark

Several of my students have gone on to become university lecturers/professors and have won prizes.

Tutoring Approach

Each student is different, and I adjust my teaching method depending on their needs.
After consulting with the student I will collect the relevant teaching materials (notes, exercises, past papers, etc) and make a plan. Initial lessons will follow this plan, and after getting a feel for the strengths and weaknesses of the student the plan can be adjusted to match.
I try to engage the student as much as possible by asking questions to make sure they understand, and posing problems for them to solve. I make sure that they learn the key concepts and skills which enable them to more easily master the subject material.
