Hi, I'm new to FirstTutors however I have been a private science tutor for 9 years. I hold a Master's in Genomic Medicine from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. I am incredibly patient and will explain using various techniques and I won’t give up until the concept is clear in their minds.
I am committed to helping you achieve your best, such as improving your grades, building confidence in yourself as a learner, and simply ensuring you have the tools necessary to succeed in the lesson.
I know that studying can be difficult and frustrating at times, but I also know that it can be incredibly rewarding when you break through and master something new (or even old).
Sometimes, you need more than a teacher. It would help if you had someone to hold you accountable for your progress and challenge you when you're not doing your best.
My goal is to create a positive approach to learning for all my students and this is very important as hard work, a confident mindset and an outstanding attitude to learning combined with high-quality teaching results in every child’s success!
I have 9+ years of tutoring experience and have worked with more than 500 students of all ages and all skill levels. I have helped students get into top universities such as Queen Mary, UCL and Kings and into courses such as medicine and dentistry.
I specialize in GCSE Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics and teach all exam boards. I also teach A-level biology and English from KS1-KS2 including SATS and 11+ VR and NVR.
I offer personalised lessons tailored to your academic needs and goals. My technique of developing bespoke curriculum adapting, and reflective learning methods enables students to expand their knowledge and improve their grades significantly.
Whether you are struggling with the basics, need help with a specific subject, or want to build stronger skills in a certain area such as laboratory techniques and effective use of chemicals and equipment, I’ve got you covered!
I have facilitated comprehensive learning plans for KS1-KS3 & GCSE/A-Level students, which generated a significant improvement; on average at least 2 grades higher than they commence.
