Academically, I have worked my way up from a state school/first-generation at university background to be the highest achiever in both my school and sixth form - now having graduated from Oxford University with a First. This journey has instilled into me an incredibly serious belief that education is the most important tool for young people to better themselves. I have direct experience in tutoring with a number of companies (50+ hours). I have founded multiple educational projects (including an Oxbridge Access program and social-mobility themed podcast) and currently hold multiple educational roles (including the current President of the Oxford state school society). Coupled with my exceptional academic profile, this puts me in a perfect position for a range of tutoring roles, with a specialism from GCSE to A Level in English, History and Music - alongside Oxbridge admissions coaching too.
I adopt a style of open debate when it comes to tutoring. I seek to encourage a student to think aloud by asking open questions and delving deep into their thought process. At the same time I research exam requirements carefully before approaching a session, and ensure that there is a plan in place to achieve tangible academic goals. I also believe in the importance of showing personality in tutorials, allowing the students to feel more relaxed and comfortable to express themselves fully.
