I am Dr Dev Maitra, Director and CEO of DRM TUTORS LTD. I am an established Academic, Lawyer and businessman, and have been a Senior Research Fellow, Senior Lecturer & published author, with over twenty years teaching/tutoring experience, both in the public and private sector. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and have taught in school-settings, as a private tutor, and lectured/supervised students at numerous universities and FE Institutions. I offer a professional, bespoke service for students at various levels of their education. This ranges from year-round tutorial support, to rapid revision programmes prior to exams. Alongside teaching, I hold a doctorate from the University of Cambridge (Trinity Hall); where I was a member of Cambridge University's Institute of Criminology since 2012. I have also been a part-time Associate Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Law at Anglia Ruskin University, Senior Research Fellow/Lecturer at the University of Suffolk, Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Portsmouth, Law Supervisor at the University of Cambridge, and Temporary Lecturer in Sociology at South Essex College. I also hold degrees from the Universities of Bristol (LL.B. Hons - 1st Class) and Cambridge (M.Phil) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales at Lincoln's Inn (2009), where I was awarded a postgraduate diploma in law and a Hardwicke Scholarship.
I have experience in tutoring students in English, History, Law, Sociology, Criminology and English as a foreign language. Since 2008 I have tutored for a number of companies (QED Tutors, London; Kensington & Chelsea Tutors, London) and on a private basis, engaging students from a variety of educational backgrounds. I have provided 1-1 tuition support to students at primary, secondary and undergraduate levels.
My services have previous been engaged by local councils (London Borough of Sutton, London Borough of Croydon) to offer intensive supervision and support in selected London schools. In addition to my activities as a private tutor, I have been Course Supervisor at the University of Cambridge on the undergraduate law degree (2015-2016), and have taught at summer schools hosted at the University of Cambridge (Lite Regal Education).
I am a patient and experienced tutor, who ensures that lessons are tailored to the particular student. I have a strong track-record of ensuring that students are able to successfully attain their educational goals - whether for entrance exams, school exams or degrees. My lessons are highly planned and prepared, offering the best possible chance for students to maximize their grades, whether for secondary school examinations, undergraduate/post-graduate degrees or as adult learners. I also offer services of proof-reading for coursework and other dissertations, and supplement this with tutorials, so that students are able to achieve their full potential.
As my student and parent/guardian reviews on FirstTutors shows, I have a very high-rate of satisfied customers, and through DRM TUTORS LTD, look forward to working with you.
