Cambridge University Classics post-graduate. BA Classics study in Germany and Greece.

Tutoring Experience

Currently heading Classics at a London independent school. Over 20 years experience teaching for prep, 11/13+, secondary and sixth form. Assistant examiner for national examinations. Excellent results with my pupils and tutees, often addressing any gaps in past teaching. Very good at finding out what the individual needs are from the first hour of tuition. Direct reference from parent to parent. Recent pupils have gained admission to top independent schools, scholarships and universities.

Tutoring Approach

Flexible individual tuition. Friendly and straightforward exam-oriented preparation, with full support at every step. Happy to use any teaching course pupil is familiar with and supplement it with recent exam papers.

Excellent guidance through set texts, unseen texts, prose composition. Teaching the new A Level and GCSE format. Cambridge Pre-U, American AP and International Baccalaureate as well.
