I am currently completing my doctorate in Educational Psychology where I am training to become an Educational Psychologist. Since 2015, I have built a breadth of experience supporting children and young people with a range of needs (including SEN) aged 3-18 in educational settings. I have taught English and Maths in 1:1 and group intervention. I also have particular interests in other aspects that impact learning such as study skills, working memory, coaching, self-esteem, confidence, learning difficulties, cognition and executive functioning that I apply in my work.
I have tutored students in English and Maths on a 1:1 basis to GCSE level since 2015. My students have ranged in academic ability and I have experience of working with students with additional educational needs. Additionally, I have taught English and Maths lessons to small groups of Key Stage 3 students and I have run small group interventions for learning, emotional and communication needs.
I have extensive tutoring experience and I tailor each individual session to the varying needs of my students. I work exceptionally hard to provide bespoke, structured and enjoyable sessions with access to carefully prepared resources. I reflect on my practice and I apply my knowledge of educational psychology in order to best support my students to achieve their desired academic results as well as improve their self-confidence. I am passionate about supporting learners to reach their full potential and achieve their best in their exams.
