I hold a 1st class degree in pharmaceutical sciences and a qualified teacher's status since 2006. I am currently a full time chemistry teacher in a comprehensive school. I am the lead chemist for my department and also is part of the quality of teaching team at my school.
As a qualified science teacher and parent, I believe hard work is rewarding and the understanding of a subject in great detail makes all the difference on exam day. I have been teaching KS3-KS4 science and chemistry up to A level for the past 17 years in three different schools. I have a good exam success track record. I enjoy teaching science and one of my biggest strength is my ability to explain the subject matter and making sure my students understand the science, with a better understanding of the content, students are able to apply their knowledge to the exam questions, I always make sure students are taught the correct scientific key terms and how important they are to answering exam questions correctly. These are now more important as the exams become more challenging for students and pupils.

One to one Tuition can help enhance your child's potential.
I have been teaching for the past 18 years as a secondary school teacher. I can teach KS4 science and Chemistry up to A-level.
It is important to choose a qualified teacher who is specialised in their field if your child is struggling in science. The gap in learning during the pandemic has affected a lot of our students, that one to one tuition could be what your child needs especially if they are taking their GCSE or A-levels.
I can teach the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam board materials.
Thanks.
As all pupils and students are different and have different learning style, the ability of the pupil or student will determine my approach towards helping them to succeed. I am able to use worksheets, exam style questions, feedback and understanding why pupils and students find a certain task challenging, use schemes of work/learning ladders and exam board specifications to tailor the teaching and learning and setting of homework that will help extend the learning.
I tutor on zoom using professional resources.
I advise on what revision guide students should purchase, this helps both teacher and students when looking at the subject matter and also for revision purposes.
I also advice parents on knowing how to best utilise the tutoring hour, for example, if I know that your child has an upcoming test, we will start revising for the test.
Also, I advice parents on how to approach their science teacher or head of Science if they need information about their child's learning.
A while back, I advised a parent and their child who was struggling in A-level chemistry to take the AS paper and the A2 paper in the summer exams. Parents approached the school, they agreed, this helped the student to secure a grade C in their AS chemistry and a D in A2 chemistry. Although, AS chemistry doesn't count as an A-level but it helped the student secure a university place through clearing.
Tutoring is more than just teaching, I also use my voice to motivate, encourage and help your child have self belief that they can do it.
