Highly experienced, qualified teacher and tutor specialising in Religious Studies (Philosophy and Ethics) and Social Sciences.
With over a decade of experience in education, I bring subject expertise, proven results, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed. I served as Head of Religious Education and Sociology from 2015 to 2018, and I am currently completing a PhD in Philosophy at the University of Kent. I also hold an MA in Philosophy and a BA (Hons) in Theology and Religious Studies.
I have successfully supported both GCSE and A-level students, helping many exceed expectations—raising grades from a 3 or 4 to a 7 or 8 at GCSE, and from a U or C to an A at A-level. I take pride in the positive feedback I consistently receive from students and parents for being clear, structured, and highly effective in building subject confidence and academic performance.
I have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and exam board specifications, particularly AQA and OCR. Lessons are tailored to the individual, with a strong focus on exam preparation, essay writing, exemplar answers, and past paper practice. My teaching emphasises analytical depth, critical engagement, and efficient revision strategies to ensure students feel fully prepared and supported.
Professional, approachable, and results-driven, I am committed to helping every student realise their potential.

I tailor each lesson to the individual needs of the student, ensuring that teaching is both personalised and effective. My goal is to build confidence, deepen understanding, and develop the critical skills required for exam success and academic growth.
Over the past few years, most of my teaching has taken place online—something that has never stood in the way of student progress. My students continue to thrive in virtual lessons, finding them engaging, focused, and just as effective as in-person tuition.
My approach includes:
Clear analysis and explanation of key concepts, terms, and theories
Structured application of theories to exam questions, contemporary issues, and ethical case studies
Development of evaluation and critical thinking skills, encouraging students to form well-reasoned arguments
Essay planning and writing guidance, with support on structure, clarity, and use of evidence
Whether you're aiming to secure a pass or striving for top grades, I provide the tools and support to help you reach your academic goals with confidence—online or in person.
