I am an primary school teacher in the Solihull/ Birmingham area.I am a qualified primary school teacher with a wealth of experience. I have a specialism in ks1 and particularly enjoy teaching writing and reading in KS2. Experience in teaching all year groups and helping with SATS prep for year 6 pupils.,
I have a good grasp of the foundations of the national curriculum and believe my specialised knowledge has been useful in helping many primary school students plug the gaps in learning from the pandemic. I have also worked in KS2 and have spent a lot of time supporting pupils with SEN needs. Since I was a teenager I have had a passion for helping and supporting those with learning difficulties. I have a strong approach to differentiation and make sure all pupils are catered for in my class. I have lots of direct experience privately tutoring pupils with Sen needs including asd and make make sure to keep my classes friendly and engaging. I have also worked as a classroom teacher in South Korea and am confident in supporting pupils who speak English as an additional language.
I like to meet my students first to assess their level. This then allows me to plan and cater to their needs.
I believe all learning should be fun and memorable. I try to make all of my classes interactive and enjoyable alongside strong learning objectives.
