I am a recent graduate of the University of Cambridge with a first-class degree in Classics based in Manchester. After cementing a solid foundation in Latin and Ancient Greek language and literature at school and university, I specialised in early Ancient Greek philosophy.

I'm delighted to now be offering affordable quality online tuition in Latin and Greek for both students and casual learners.

This keen interest has kept me working towards a near impeccable academic record at school, having achieved 4 A*s at A-Level and 12 A*s at GCSE. I'm really keen to share this interest with students and help them find their own joy to succeed.

Outside of tutoring in Classics, I have a keen interest in film and drama and have a Master's Degree in Television Drama Production.

Please note as I am currently undertaking intensive teacher training my tutoring availability is limited to clients looking for one-off/short term tutoring.

Tutoring Experience

I've been tutoring regularly with First Tutors for almost two years now since graduating from Cambridge and have had high success in working with students in both Spanish and Classical subjects.

I also have experience working in University entry coaching with both Oxbridge Launchpad and U2 Tuition and am able to offer university entry mock interviews for Classical subjects.

I have been volunteering and working with students of all ages since I was 16, having run workshops about Greek myths for primary-age children with the Classical Association, tutored Latin in after-school clubs and assisted with reading for teens who have English as their second language.

I am currently starting my initial teacher training with United Teaching.

I have a fully enhanced DBS check, last updated March 2025.

Tutoring Approach

For students approaching exams, I can offer targeted support on tackling specific syllabus-based exam questions for all GCSE and A-Level boards, as well as offering general and tailored language-based tuition with the opportunity for easy explanations, guided translation practices and close reading of any assigned literature.

I'm also more than happy to offer a beginner or intermediate guided course for anyone looking to learn Latin or Ancient Greek for pleasure!
