Currently a Medical Doctor with Associate Fellowship for recognition of teaching and supporting learning in higher education (AFHEA). An enthusiastic and highly recommended tutor who is well aware of the very latest GCSE and A Level syllabuses.
Over 800 Hours of tuition experience at schools, privately with families and over Skype & Zoom. I tend to work with families over a long period of time and right up until they're exam ready. References for any listed experience is available. Currently reading Medicine at the University of East Anglia and can also provide support with medical interviews and personal statement writing.
I have worked with with students studying for all the major examination boards, some more familiar then the others including: Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CIE, WJEC, OCR MEI
I started my journey as a tutor volunteering at a community college in London before being offered a part time position as their dedicated 'super tutor' teaching math, chemistry & biology at GCSE & A Level.
I have received great feedback after every term, with my colleagues pestering me to take on more children & young people because they recognise how successful tuition has been.
Alongside my extensive experience as a tutor, I also continue to work both NCS as Programme Manager and a children's hospice.
Regardless of ability, I am completely confident with my skills to motivate and deliver wonderful tuition sessions based on your child's specific understanding of the subject matter. Repeatedly have I seen all of my students achieve well over his or her academic potential and your child will be no different.
I have many different approaches to the way I deliver tuition which is hugely dependent on the tutee.
For all of my GCSE and AS/A Level Students practicing from previously examined questions using my personalised homework is often an extremely successful system I employ. I also get my students to complete loads of general past paper questions packs in between sessions to keep them on their toes throughout the week.
For KS2 and KS3 my junior personalised** homework tasks during the week are key to ensure any misunderstandings are completely squashed prior to moving on. This also allows students to consolidate what they learned in the previous lesson.
Hope to be seeing you soon,
Zen.
